You may love to game, but your better half may not. Activities for the Better Half will focus on day-trips away from the convention and activities to keep your loved ones entertained while you spend time gaming and soaking up everything that is Gen Con. With a host of Queensland's best shopping precincts, theme parks and nature reserves located within easy access of the convention centre, these events will ensure that your non-gaming Significant Other has just as much fun during the convention as you do. Plus we'll have activities at the show catering to the non-gamer.

One of the largest displays at the show is the Gen Con Theatre. This massive theatre will be showing a fantastic selection of features from your favourite cartoons, all the way through to the best of Japanese Theatre. The Gen Con Theatre is proudly coordinated by the Brisbane Anime Society.

Each year the Gen Con™ Australia Board Game Bonanza program will feature a variety of games, from old-school favourites to cult classics. The Board Games Bonanza Area will be the best place to go for your board gaming fix wether it be to hone your skills in a tournament, or try that new game you've had your eye on.

Each year Gen Con™ Australia will plays host to a number of CCG and non-collectible card game tournaments, with feature events covering Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic: The Gathering, the World of Warcraft TCG, Legend of the Five Rings, Vampire: The Eternal Struggle and many more.

The e-Volution Arena will bring together games designers, manufacturers of hardware and periferals, retailers, schools and colleges and of course gaming groups in order to promote the gaming industry. It will also be the home to some unique tournaments for both console and PC gamers.

People in costume has been a huge crowd pleaser at Gen Con™ conventions around the world for years, and this tradition is maintained at Gen Con™ Australia. Through the entire show, CosPlay Activities shall be occurring in seminar rooms, in the Oversized Games Arena as well as on the Main Stage.

Gen Con™ Australia's Free-Form and LARP events will be spread across the entire show, including events on the Thursday evening to launch the show. With a mixture of independent free-forms and organised-play LARPs, Gen Con™ Australia's program will build upon its success with a concentrated schedule of events.

Every year Gen Con™ Australia has a fantastic representation from the Miniature Wargaming community and stores alike. Wether you are a historical purest, or a Warhammer 40K new-comer, Gen Con™ Australia will have a huge number of tables set-up to accommodate every miniature wargamers desire over the entire length of the show.

Gen Con™ has always been the home of great Role-playing Games and Gen Con™ Australia looks forward to maintaining this great tradition. Each year Gen Con™ Australia plays host to events from a range of organised play campaigns, including Living Forgotten Realms, as well as a one of the largest gatherings of independent role playing sessions run by dedicated Game Masters.
